A trip to Florida with her friends and Abigail was ready to kill someone. Literally.
Once everyone met on the beach, it became a matter of pride. She knew what was coming and when they found the jellyfish, she grinned, not bothering to hide it. The exclamations of 'ew' and 'gross' filled her with happiness, then the shrieks began up and down the beach as people saw sea life wash up on the shore, dead.
Lifeguards called them all back before she could celebrate properly. Abby wanted to jump up and down and clap her hands, the unadulterated joy was so great. She wanted to point and say to the woman who was looking on in disgust, "I did this", but unfortunately, the silly, hysterical woman would never have understood. She'd been waiting for this moment for lifetimes.
Meandering up the shore, she could hear bits and pieces of conversations: horror, repulsion, worry, fear... and she was thrilled.
